Market segmentation is a crucial and basic element related to effectively marketing a product line. For a marketer, it is to identify the unique quality of the products and align them with the right set of consumers who relate with those qualities through different marketing activities. Segmentation is ideally a good starting point for an effective market strategy as it gives a direction for the marketing efforts and position the product among competitors.
